The City
The tumult all about,
Clamorous bang-crash that never soundly sleeps.
I lean silently,
Isolated,
Alone.
My thoughts ring with fluid rushing,
But I do not have their body frenzy.
Standing solidly amidst the whirlwind wisdom of the world,
I pause and pause again,
Pained at plucking the juicy mind gem
And pen-stroke it to paper.
